Last Tuesday, the Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in Stockholm. At the meeting, a collaboration agreement between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen was exchanged.

The agreement paves the way for increased research and development collaboration between Denmark and India in the field of food and agriculture. It focuses on important areas of export such as food ingredients, meat and dairy products and thereby supports Danish exports.

The food and agricultural fields are of great interest to both the Danish and the Indian government, and the agreement is the result of a close dialogue that has been going on in recent year, with several mutual ministerial visits.
