Pitch your innovative idea If you are an early-career professional and you would like to participate in the competition, we would love to hear from you! The lucky winner of the Falling Walls competition will get a ticket for a fantastic week in Berlin to participate at the international Falling Walls final with flights and accommodation paid. Besides competing at the final, the whole week will be full of activities, networking and plenty of exposure to media and key stakeholders. Furthermore, all participants will be offered a specialized pitch workshop from the communications department at the University of Copenhagen, completely free of charge. The Falling Walls competition is open to all fields of knowledge, and the selected pitches cover a wide range of topics - from machine learning to microbiomes. The prize recognizes an exceptional early-career researcher, within four years of PhD completion, contributing to functional and experimental ecology. This prestigious award celebrates innovative research that advances our understanding of ecosystem responses to environmental change. The winner is selected by the science committee. Winners receive a dedicated conference presentation slot, funded research visit to an AnaEE facility of their choice, located outside the winner’s home country (up to €1,500), conference travel support (€500), and prominent recognition. Awards for Best Poster and Best Oral Communication will also be presented. Each participating company will be given a short presentation slot to introduce your company and present relevant job openings, internships, graduate programmes, research collaborations, or project opportunities. Student registration opens in September for MSc and PhD students from a broad range of computer science and STEM-related programmes at the University of Copenhagen. Matchmaking Session Following the company presentations, the event continues with a 1.5-hour matchmaking and speed networking session.
